Do you thrive on shaping bold social and channel strategies, working in a creative environment and building meaningful audience connections? The RSC is seeking an experienced Senior Social Media Manager to take our social media into its next era, combining creativity, strategic thinking and data-driven insight to grow reach, deepen engagement and strengthen our brand voice across multiple platforms.
As a key voice for our brand, you will be responsible for leading both the social and channel strategy, developing frameworks, formats and campaigns that grow reach, deepen audience connection and raise awareness of our mission.
Reporting to the Head of Campaigns, key areas of responsibility include (please see the Role Profile for the comprehensive list):
- Developing and leading a creative and inspiring social media and channel strategy which drives engagement and builds cross department understanding
- Planning and delivering social campaigns for Stratford-upon-Avon, London national and international projects.
- Monitoring and reporting social performance using analytics tools.
- Coaching, managing and supporting the Senior Social Media Officer
- Championing the RSC\’s brand identity and tone of voice, ensuring quality, consistency, and accessibility when it comes to social media and content
To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have:
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager within a brand or organisation that is complex and fast-paced.
- The ability to think creatively and tell engaging stories through content and social media.
- Excellent editorial judgment, with a fantastic eye for detail and impeccable copywriting skills.
- Experience of Adobe Suite, video and graphic editing skills together with experience of filming and editing simple, short-form video content.
- Ability to analyse social media data to measure performance, report findings and recommend improvements.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in either Stratford-upon-Avon or London. This role offers hybrid working, with 60% of the working week based in the office.
You will be working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, although some degree of flexibility will be required according to workload, including some evening and weekend work.
Our refreshed brand purpose and toolkit are embedded into everything we do, and our audience insight and analytics support planning and strategy, funnelling to decision-makers to inform the RSC\’s programme. The Campaigns team develop and implement campaigns across seasons, productions and projects, with an audience-first, cross-channel philosophy.
