This role takes an office first hybrid approach here at London Gatwick, with three days a week in the office, two days remote, managed around the needs of the business.
As an IT Portfolio Manager, this role provides leadership, direction, and clarity to specific project portfolio. Driving business change and value through leadership of the end-to-end IT project delivery.
What will you do?
- Accountable for the delivery of all Capital/Opex projects related to an IT portfolio, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, to agreed scope in line with IT methodology and governance.
- Accountable for the management and governance of outsourced projects to 3rd party suppliers.
- Line Management of Senior IT Project Managers.
- Accountable for all internal IT matters related to the specific portfolio/programmes and acts as the first point of contact for all stakeholder escalations relating to the assigned portfolio/programme.
- Accountable for the communications between IT and leaders across the business, including IT Director, and members of the Leadership Team, ensuring full transparency.
- Accountable for the resolution of all issues/risks associated to projects within the portfolio.
- Drives Business Change through the delivery of IT Projects.
Do you have what we're looking for?
- Proven track record of either delivering Aviation related Projects or Aviation related Portfolio or Programme Management experience.
- Prince2 Practitioner with thorough knowledge of MS Project; PMP, MSP, Mop, or similar is highly desirable.
- Proven experience of managing large and complex project portfolios.
- Demonstratable experience of managing Project Managers and other project team members directly, team sizes of 10 and above and managing outsourced Project Delivery Suppliers.
- Strong demonstratable experience of experience in the relevant technology domain such as Software Development and Infrastructure Design.
- Proven track record of delivery through all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control methodologies.
- Experience with client management, communication, negotiation and facilitation skills.
