We are looking for a motivated person to join the Rheumatology Day Unit Team to help support the patients having IV infusions and joint injections and other treatments. We are not able to provide sponsorship for this post and previous applicants need not apply.
Main duties of the job:
- Doing daily safety checks alongside Nurses such as suction, oxygen, blood glucose meter control tests and resuscitation trolley checks.
- Cleaning of medical equipment and COWS/desktops daily and as required.
- Daily restocking of the drug room, linen cupboard, and joint injection trolley.
- Emptying bins in infusion rooms every day as needed and disposal of dirty linens.
- Cleaning and restocking of glove and apron compartment as required.
- Urinalysis and assisting patients to complete pre-infusion checklist as required.
- Capillary Blood Glucose test as indicated.
- Support Nurses with venepuncture and cannulation when required if competent.
