As a Joiner working in social housing, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of carpentry and joinery tasks in occupied and void properties. This includes day-to-day repairs, planned maintenance, and refurbishments, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.
Salary: The hourly pay rate for this role is £18.00PH Ltd (PAYE equivalent £15.19 Inclusive of holiday).

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general joinery tasks such as door and frame repairs, kitchen unit replacements, skirting/flooring installation, and fencing.
- Undertake planned and reactive maintenance in tenanted and void properties.
- Deliver high-quality workmanship while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Liaise professionally with tenants, housing officers, and team members.
- Ensure all works are compliant with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed via mobile devices or job sheets.
Essential Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent).
- Proven experience working as a Joiner, ideally within social or domestic housing.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work respectfully in tenants’ homes.
- Basic knowledge of other trades (plumbing, tiling, etc.) is an advantage.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
