Civil Engineer - Shrewsbury and Liverpool

A client within the Public Sector, based in Wrexham, is currently recruiting for a Chartered Civil Engineer to join their Civil Engineering Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, permanent position. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a local authority, specifically in a Highways and Drainage design environment.

The Role

The key purpose of the role is to provide expert civil engineering support across highways and drainage design projects, mentor junior team members, and ensure quality, client-focused deliverables in line with standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertaking detailed drainage and highways design using AutoCAD and Causeway Flow or similar software.
• Mentoring and supporting graduate engineers and technicians across multiple offices.
• Delivering design services and ensuring operational efficiency across multiple client projects.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role, you will require:

• Chartered membership with CIWEM, ICE, and/or CIHT.
• A minimum of 3 years\’ experience in highways and drainage design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Causeway Flow (or similar design software).

The following skills would be beneficial for the role:

• Understanding and application of Section 278, 38, and 104 agreements.
• Familiarity with CIRIA design guides, BRE Digest, and BS standards.
