Since we opened our doors in 2009, the world of commerce has evolved immensely, and so has Square. After enabling anyone to take payments and never miss a sale, we saw sellers stymied by disparate, outmoded products and tools that wouldn't work together. So we expanded into software and started building integrated, omnichannel solutions – to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, offer buy now, pay later functionality, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. Across it all, we've embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place.

The Role Block is seeking an organized and execution-oriented Vendor Operations Coordinator to join our GSO team. As a key member of our organization, you will oversee Square's implementation vendors across the EU/UK/IE regions, including markets such as the U.K., Ireland, Spain, and France. Working directly with the Global Head of Vendor Strategy & GSO BPO, you will be responsible for vendor coordination, operational alignment, and performance optimization to support consistent and high-quality onsite implementations. This remote position plays a crucial role in delivering operational excellence while working across diverse regulatory environments. The role requires up to 20% travel and offers the opportunity to support program scalability, continuous improvement, and emerging automation initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the organization.

You Will:

  • Serve as the day-to-day operations liaison for European implementation vendors
  • Coordinate vendor dispatch logistics and ensure timely scheduling and execution of onsite appointments
  • Monitor adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs), escalation procedures, and operational workflows
  • Support vendors in scope compliance, resource allocation, and troubleshooting real-time deployment issues
  • Maintain and analyze vendor scorecards, performance metrics, and QA results
  • Partner with the Quality team to surface trends, implement feedback loops, and elevate vendor performance
  • Conduct regular operational reviews and contribute to quarterly business reviews
  • Work with Sales, Onboarding, Support, Risk, and Learning & Development teams
  • Support enablement and ongoing training efforts in partnership with L&D
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to relay operational feedback and identify tooling improvements
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of vendor processes, issue logs, and SOPs
  • Track and report on appointment volumes, capacity utilization, and regional trends
  • Act as first line of support for vendor-related escalations in Europe
  • Participate in shaping the future of the implementation vendor program in Europe
  • Identify and lead process improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate on AI-enabled workflows that automate manual tasks and scale service delivery

You Have:

  • Experience coordinating field operations or vendor programs in the EU
  • Strong organizational and performance management background
  • Comfort working across countries with varying regulatory and operational standards
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in French, Spanish, or German is a plus
  • Familiarity with GDPR compliance, regional logistics, and operational tooling (Salesforce, Asana, Google Workspace)
