Luxury department store, Harvey Nichols, is searching for an Allocator to join its thriving Merchandising department in our Head Office in London – Knightsbridge. About the role: As Allocator, you will support the Merchandiser in all areas of the Merchandising function. You will be responsible for the daily running of the department, communicating effectively with all relevant areas of the business, and producing accurate information, working with other functions to ensure data integrity. Your responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and check Monday morning sales and stock report and daily sales report.
  • Update store stock holding report and category sales for department continuity products.
  • Review fashion brand analysis report, new stock report and fashion size reports.
  • Allocate new stock and replenishment stock, maintaining records of all allocations.
  • Raise Head Office generated store transfers.
  • Provide analysis to consolidate stock when required.
  • Be the first point of contact for stores.
  • Suggest repeat orders.
  • Maintain regular communication with stores regarding stock and their performance.
  • Visit Knightsbridge shop floor and stockrooms.
  • Meet with buying to discuss order log and review delivery schedules.
  • Review category sales with the Buying team.
  • Check outstanding transfers and follow up with stores.
  • Discuss and review cancellation dates with Buying, and establish what stock is to be cancelled.
  • Allocate recall stock.
  • Allocate all current season stock to clear the warehouse for the Sale.
  • Recode styles.
  • Visit regional stores as authorized by the Merchandiser.
  • Help prepare information for intake planning.
  • Participate in range review process.
  • Carry out competitor shops and provide feedback reports.
