Barings Global Public Portfolio Services team has an opening for a motivated individual who would like to join our innovative team of financial professionals.
Primary Responsibilities- Support the European CLO team within Global Public Portfolio Services to meet their main responsibilities including:
- Develop significant level of expertise of the holdings, terms, and transactions of multiple portfolios to provide intuitive and proactive oversight of these portfolios specialising in Collateralised Loan Obligations (CLOs).
- Provide regular daily and ad-hoc support to the investment team and institutional clients.
- Frequent interaction with the Portfolio Management and Legal teams to address any questions that arise as part of the reporting process.
- Oversee the Service Provider in reconciling portfolio level activity.
- Oversight of all aspects of Indenture compliance including monthly review of reconciliation with Trustee’s compliance reporting.
- Review of funds’ quarterly distributions.
- Assist in preparation of investor reports and requests.
- Hypothetical Trade Analysis ensuring compliance.
- Respond to numerous ad hoc requests from internal and external clients for additional information.
- Act as subject matter expert on the funds/portfolios covered.
- Work effectively with third party administrators and internal parties to ensure a high level of service.
- Raise service issues as needed and follow up on issues to resolution.
- Maintain awareness of CLO Industry, client mandates, portfolio governing documents and regulatory restrictions.
- Prepare relevant portfolio reporting as required.
- Improve procedures implemented, document manual processes; recommend process changes as appropriate.
- System projects and testing undertaken in accordance with agreed project timeframes.
- Recommendations made to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of all systems, processes, and procedures, documented and reported to Head of Portfolio Services.
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Accounting, Finance, or related business field preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Previous experience with the Aladdin tool would be a benefit; Power BI experience a plus.
- Strong organizational, analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to effectively summarise findings, both verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to perform accurately under pressure.
- Detail-oriented, highly motivated, team player.
