Hotel: Corp Windsor, Windsor One, Arthur Road, IHG Hotels & Resorts, SL4 1RS We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Communications Executiveto join our Europe Communications team at IHG’s Global Headquarters in Windsor. If you\’re early in your career and ready to make your mark, this role is your launchpad. You’ll be working at the heart of a FTSE 100 company as part of a talented Global Corporate Affairs department, gaining exposure to senior leaders, high-profile projects, and strategic communications that reach audiences across nearly 40 countries across the UK and Europe. This is a 360 role which supports our Europe Corporate Affairs team to communicate to our external and internal audiences, and hotel owner community. The role has a varied and exciting remit from creating engaging newsletters and spotlighting employee successes, liaising with media and briefing our spokespeople, to helping plan and execute events – your work will influence how thousands of people connect with IHG. What You’ll Do: Work with the team to support the development and execution of communications plans for key strategic projects and news relevant to our audiences. Manage media relations opportunities, including participating in the crisis duty rota and managing PR agencies, and respond to inquiries from hotels and journalists by conducting thorough fact-finding within the business. Oversee PR agency relationships across key European markets and support the development and execution of communications plans for retained and project-based activity. Collaborate with business stakeholders to coordinate internal events such as town halls and events (to corporate and hotel/ General Manager audiences). Strategic and creative writing for multiple channels including leadership LinkedIn channels, press releases to tell our growth story, event scripts, newsletters, narratives and articles. Support the team including maintain and update communications calendars and distribution lists, ensuring accurate reporting and metrics for internal and external communications activities. Support the team on regular reporting for our external, internal and owner communications impact. What You’ll Bring: Excellent written communication in English – other languages would be a plus, with the ability to influence at various levels. Effective and pro-active team player with the ability to problem-solve and communicate complex issues clearly. Adaptable and resilient in a high-pace environment able to manage multiple priorities Proficient in digital and social media platforms. Ideal experience: 1-2 years’ experience in communications within a similar industry. Strong media relations skills, including crisis handling and sound judgment. Experience contributing to 360° communication campaigns across multiple channels. Experience managing complex work plans with strong attention to detail. Experience of working with PR agencies.
