Role Overview/What will you do: The FX Business Analyst/Project Manager will lead a team focused on simplifying and optimizing complex FX trade booking workflows across Citi\βs global operations. This role involves collaborating with various technology and business teams to implement solutions, ensure policy adherence, and drive best practices within the department. Team Leadership & Mentoring: Lead and mentor a team of business analysts focused on categorizing FX and FX Options trade booking functionality. Workflow Optimization & Consolidation: Collaborate with Product Management, business representatives and your technology team members to streamline and optimize FX trade booking workflows across in the Trade Services technology stack. Change Validation & Testing: Partner with technology teams across the bank to ensure all proposed changes are thoroughly validated before development and comprehensively tested before deployment. Solution Implementation & Collaboration: Work with FX Trading Technology teams to implement solutions that deliver tangible business benefits. Policy Adherence & Documentation: Ensure staff adheres to Citi\βs documented policies and procedures, maintaining up-to-date and comprehensive documentation. Best Practices & Process Improvement: Contribute to defining and implementing best practices and processes to enhance transparency and consistency across teams. Budget Responsibility: This role does not involve budget management. Key Skills and Experience required This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in Foreign Exchange (FX) and a proven track record of successful project delivery within the investment banking sector. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of FX trading systems, strong analytical abilities, and exceptional communication skills. Core Competencies: FX Expertise: Extensive experience in FX gained across multiple financial institutions, demonstrating a deep understanding of FX markets and trading practices. Asset Class Knowledge: Proven experience with other asset classes, including FX options, Money Market (MM) instruments, and futures. Trading Systems Acumen: Comprehensive understanding of FX trading systems and booking models, including their architecture, functionality, and integration points. Analytical Prowess: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to deconstruct complex workflows into logical and coherent steps, facilitating effective problem-solving and process improvement. Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated experience working directly with FX front office (Trading & Sales) and middle office/trade management teams. Technical Skills: Agile Methodologies: Experience working within Agile development teams, with a strong ability to communicate complex business requirements clearly and concisely to software development teams. Change Management: Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale change projects that span across divisional and/or functional boundaries within an investment banking environment. Soft Skills: Communication Excellence: Exceptional communicator with a passion for working with people, possessing the confidence to communicate effectively at all levels, from individual teams to the entire enterprise.
