About the Role: Skill: Control M, BMC Control Type: FTE or Subcontractor Mode: Hybrid (3 days onsite) Location: UK – Sheffield Qualifications: Extensive experience designing and architecting Control M solutions with strategic planning and roadmap development skills. Deep technical expertise with Control M, including plugin integrations and automated testing frameworks. Broad IT infrastructure knowledge, cybersecurity compliance, and operational resilience understanding. Proven track record in continuous improvement initiatives and managing organizational change in complex IT environments. Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Experience with observability tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, ThousandEyes, and open telemetry. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipeline integration, and process automation. Relevant certifications (e.g., BMC Certified Associate/Professional in Control M) or equivalent experience are desirable. Key Responsibilities: Define and drive a comprehensive Control M strategy aligning with organizational goals. Develop and maintain a product roadmap for 1-3 years, outlining priorities and innovations. Engage with Control M vendors to influence their roadmap based on internal feedback. Collaborate with business units and IT stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements. Communicate strategy and roadmap through presentations and briefings. Build strong relationships across departments to facilitate adoption of initiatives. Design testing frameworks, including automated functional and non-functional tests. Develop monitoring systems using tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, ThousandEyes, and open telemetry. Implement automated operational processes for efficiency and manual reduction. Feature Innovation & Self-Service: Identify and prioritize new features based on user and management feedback. Develop self-service tools and automated solutions to improve user experience and compliance. Define DevOps strategies, including CI/CD pipelines for agile deployment.
