About the Role

As our Clinical Safety Officer, you\’ll have the exciting opportunity to take the Naq to new heights. Joining our compliance team, you will:

Internal Responsibilities

  • Lead and improve the clinical risk management process for our product, ensuring Naq can support customers in meeting NHS DCB 0129 and DCB0160 requirements.
  • Continuously refine and enhance internal processes to deliver effective and efficient clinical safety support for customers.
  • Develop and maintain internal clinical risk management documentation, including training.

External Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance and support to customers to help them conform with NHS DCB 0129 and DCB 0160 clinical safety standards.
  • Assist customers in creating their clinical risk management documentation, including hazard logs, safety case reports, and incident logs.
  • Facilitate or support customer-led hazard identification workshops, ensuring their processes align with clinical safety requirements.
  • Offer practical advice on managing clinical risk incidents, ensuring lessons are learned and reflected in updated clinical risk management practices.
  • Act as a key point of contact for customer clinical safety queries, helping them navigate complex risk management scenarios, clinical accidents, and incidents.

Your Background

Must-Haves

  • Current professional registration in a relevant health field (e.g., nursing, medicine) with at least three years of experience as a practising clinician.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
  • A driven, ambitious approach with a \”can-do\” attitude, taking initiative and demonstrating a keen ability to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Experience working in a healthcare start-up or scale-up environment.
  • Formal, evidenced, training in clinical risk management in accordance with DCB 0160 and DCB 0129 standards, such as NHSE’s Digital Clinical Safety Practitioner training.
  • Familiarity with the NHS health tech ecosystem, including Electronic Patient Records (EPR), Patient Admin Systems (PAS), Summary Care Records, and the Patient Demographic Service (PDS).
  • Experience in developing and implementing a clinical risk management process, working across a number of health tech solutions.
  • Awareness of product development and an understanding of how clinical risk analysis can be integrated into this process.
