80920 β Project Manager This Project Manager will report to the Client Delivery Manager β Heathrow and will work within UKPN Services β Aviation based in our Heathrow office. You will be a permanent employee. You will attract a salary of Β£80,574 plus car and a bonus of 3%. Dimentions Annual Works Costs: Β£10 million FAL: Β£5k Staff: 0 Principal Accountabilities Plan β Working with the Project Programmer utilising Primavera P6, to create, update and review a task/resource schedule which is to identify excess or shortfall of resource against the proposed work plan. Agree aligned project plan that coordinates all electrical work across the project. Governance β Ensure projects follow PG&C process and are prepared for presentation to the Project Portfolio Board working with the Cost Manager. Contract Management β Utilising the NEC suite of contracts. Report β Ensure regular reporting of progress and performance to governance bodies and stakeholders including the client. Stakeholders β Ensure stakeholders support for and perception of project performance and delivered value remains high i.e., are kept informed of project progress, change and risk. Responsibility for managing the complete project lifecycle, (Gate A to Gate D) RAID β Manage project risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies and understand the principles of risk management. Safety β Ensure all workers engaged on the project are aware of HSE requirements. Costs β Manage the project budget to ensure spend is kept within agreed tolerance. Time β Manage project delivery to ensure agreed milestones are met. Quality β Ensure project is delivered to the requirements specification and agreed quality criteria. Change Managementβ Ensure project changes are monitored, recorded and reported for approval by the appropriate authority and that appropriate funding is in place to proceed. Assurance β Provide visible demonstration that project has delivered to its agreed quality criteria. Contingency β Participate in contingency strategy planning development and participate in the event of the contingency plan being implemented due to a major event. Team β Ensures all those working on project have a clear understanding of their role and responsibility in delivering a successful project. Delivery β Define and manage project requirements, design, implementation and commissioning and testing. Undertake additional activities determined by your job level and competency. Manage workload. Take full responsibility of the success and quality of projects Nature And Scope The Project Manager must: Have a sound background in 33kV and 11kV distribution networks including substations, transformers and cabling together with experience operating on HV and LV networks. Have a sound understanding of cost and change management for changes in site work. Be able to demonstrate an ability to analyse complex situations and produce solutions and contingency plans to meet our goals. Understand the need to balance; daily project delivery, event/ failure management and network planned maintenance i.e., are able prioritise to deliver all project goals without compromise. Support the Stay Safe programme You will need to be self-motivated and able to work independently, with the ability to resolve issues in a calm and inclusive manner. We ask that you can develop firm working relationship with all clients. Fulfil legal HSE requirements as detailed under Health & Safety Responsibilities. You will demonstrate a clear understanding and ability to operate within CDM standards. Provide regular performance reports on projects. You will monitor, control and report on all aspects of site works. This will from time to time involve the auditing of site works for adherence to construction and site procedures and the monitoring and review of commissioning tests. Work with the Cost Managers to ensure the Project meets its commercial/ finance performance. Provide suitable cost information to the Commercial Team to allow payment of invoices and financial cost performance reporting. Work with the programme team to ensure design / delivery programmes are kept updated. Attend regular meetings with the client which include, progress meetings, performance (programme) meetings and other client organised meetings. Qualifications And Experience Understanding of NRSWA / Street Works (essential) Electrical Engineering (to HNC or similar) is the preferred requirement however, applications from candidates with a lesser qualification and a record of accomplishment in the installation of electrical distribution infrastructures (construction) would be welcomed. PRINCE2 or APM (PMQ) (desirable) however consideration will be given if you have experience in project delivery in a complicated aviation environment A good understanding and use of Microsoft Office packages Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. (essential) Experience of Primavera planning package (essential) NEC4 Contract manager certified SMSTS qualified IOSH Certificate in construction. IOSH Putting People to works You will achieve any project related Security Clearance. (essential) Full UK driving licence (essential) We ask that you have security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process will require you to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
