As a Class 1 Tramper driver, you will be responsible for executing bulk collections and deliveries between various DPD sites and customers throughout the United Kingdom. Your primary duty will be to operate modern fleet vehicles on an agreed shift pattern, delivering palette loads to HGV-friendly locations. Key responsibilities include: ● Undertake a minimum of four nights per week away from base, utilising secure DPD locations for overnight rest periods. ● Operate within a designated region surrounding your base depot, adhering to all relevant road traffic laws and company policies. ● Ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods, maintaining a high standard of customer service at all times. ● Conduct thorough vehicle checks before and after each journey, reporting any defects or maintenance issues promptly. ● Accurately complete all required documentation, including delivery notes and tachograph records. ● Maintain a clean and tidy appearance, wearing company-provided uniform when on duty. ● Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper manual handling techniques when loading and unloading goods. ● Communicate effectively with depot staff, customers, and other drivers to ensure smooth operations. ● Participate in any required training or professional development activities to maintain and enhance your skills. ● Represent DPD in a professional manner at all times, upholding the companys reputation and values.
