Position: Medical Writer
Location: London (2 days in the office)

Medical Writer:
This is an excellent opportunity to join a flourishing Editorial team! As a member of the scientific team, you will have the chance to shape your role to fit your strengths and be instrumental in the ongoing development and growth of the division.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects across a range of medical affairs accounts, including congress activities, advisory boards, symposia, training materials, websites, and digital apps. Some of the key therapy areas include oncology, rare diseases, cardiovascular and obesity.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop content according to a brief provided by a client or senior member of the team
- Work across therapy areas and be able to adapt materials to suit different target audiences
- Ensure high levels of accuracy for both language and data in all materials produced
- Be a lead writer on small-to-medium accounts
- Contribute to managing small project teams and liaise directly with clients to achieve delivery
- Review the work of other writers as requested by a senior member of the team
- Work collaboratively with other members of the group divisions
- Attend and sometimes lead calls and meetings with clients and faculty as required
- Attend meetings, conferences and symposia locally and internationally as required
- Work closely with clients and faculty
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and faculty, if required
- Maintain accurate time sheets for the daily work schedule
- Build on opportunities to improve performance and seek feedback from senior members of the team and colleagues
Requirements:
- Degree (science, preferably life science); PhD or MSc (desirable)
- 2+ years of medical writing experience in a medical communications agency
- Scientific knowledge and understanding
- Proficiency in delivering high-quality written work
- Presentation skills
- Able to attend international events
- High level of drive, motivation, and initiative
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Awareness of industry guidelines and best practice and their application
