Our client based in the East Midlands is looking for a Consultant who specialises in Paediatrics (Community), this is a full-time substantive post. The hospital serves over 400,000 people across the area and surrounding areas.

The Trust is looking for an individual with a commitment to service improvement and development, and excellent communication and liaison skills. The post holder will deliver a full range of community paediatric services including developmental and educational paediatrics in locality clinics. They will also undertake integrated developmental assessment clinics with therapists. The post-holder will also participate in the daytime hours child protection rota for physical/sexual abuse.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Full GMC registration (ESSENTIAL)
  • MRCPCH
  • On Specialist Register/CCT in Community Paediatrics or eligible for inclusion within six months
  • Demonstrate commitment to shared leadership & collaborative working to deliver improvement
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a MDT
  • Able to form a good working relationship with the peer group
Additional Information:

The ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team is essential. The post holder is expected to undertake administrative duties associated with the care of patients and to promptly record clinical activities accurately and comprehensively. The post holder will have use of a dedicated office space together with appropriate IT support/informatics. Secretarial Support of 0.5wte will be available to the post holder and their medical staff.
