Role: Mainframe (CICS) Programmer/DB2 Administrator

Project Type: Contract
- Have experience of installing and/or customizing Mainframe CICS software in large data sharing environments.
- Have experience with CICS plex and CICS Explorer to manage CICS systems, installing and/or customizing software products.
- Mainframe DB2 and/or data replication product suite establishment of policies and procedures pertaining to database management, disaster recovery, security, maintenance and utilization.
- Analyzing new versions of DB2 for functionality that can improve systems performance and reduce cost.
- Perform performance data collection, analysis, and tuning of DB2 systems.
- Execute project and internal initiative responsibilities as assigned or delegated.
- Participate in incident and problem management activities related to application and DB2.
- Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis to prevent reoccurrence.
- Provide 24x7 on-call support.
- Strong experience managing IBM System Automation (IBM SA) and Net-view including monitoring, policy setup, and maintenance.
- Experience of REXX coding and Net-View PIPE programming.
- Strong proficiency in CLIST programming.
- Solid understanding of IPL shutdown/startup sequencing.
