Job Purpose

To work on a range of projects for our clients from assessing current HR systems to scoping requirements for new HR systems and supporting the implementation of an HRIS into a client business.

The Consultants at ReThink HR get involved at various stages of HRIS projects from selection, implementation kick off or project rescues (mid-way) and work with our clients to ensure that they can achieve the most value from their chosen software package. Working as a trusted advisor to the client, our consultants are hands-on project managers responsible for keeping everything on track but also closely involved with the configuration, process design and change management work.

This role will provide experience with multiple sectors and sizes of business and will involve a combination of home working and working from client offices, it will therefore involve (infrequent) travel across the UK.

Key Accountabilities

  • To provide clients with high-quality HRIS scoping, selection and implementation services, ensuring projects are delivered to meet client needs, expectations and project briefs.
  • To act as the client’s internal project lead, using project management tools to coordinate, track and deliver projects, managing change, risks and issues and reporting templates to keep key stakeholders engaged and up to date.
  • To build strong relationships and work effectively with external HRIS project and customer success teams, to ensure roles and responsibilities are clear, timelines work for the client and to manage risks and issues that arise with a positive, solution focused mindset.
  • To research and understand our client’s businesses, key influencers and ways of working to align your approach and advice with their culture and needs.
  • To learn new technology quickly and get “hands on”, giving clients confidence in our advice and recommendations.
  • To proactively support clients to map and redesign processes, documenting ‘as is’ processes and advising the design of future processes to maximise the effectiveness of their chosen product(s).
  • To design and produce tools and training to support the client to rollout and embed new software and maximise end user engagement.
  • To work on internal projects and personal development on non-client delivery days, researching new products, sharing learning with the team, recording lessons learned and updating tools and templates as required.
  • To manage your own time and approach with clients, ensuring our clients receive exceptional service whilst projects remain commercially viable.
  • To accurately track and record time spent on activities to ensure client billing is correct and enable workforce planning.
  • To enjoy your role! We want you to love what you do and enjoy working with our clients.

Person Specification

  • Client-focussed – adaptable, personable, confident, collaborative.
  • Recent experience in-house or as a consultant advising and influencing your business group.
  • A love of problem solving and building relationships.
  • The ability to work confidently with people throughout an organisation from the Board to front line.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt style and approach to suit different sectors and management styles.
  • Strong interest in developing skills and experience in HRIS.
  • Strong listening skills and relationship building experience with the ability to quickly interpret client needs and solve problems.
  • Good commercial awareness.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Willing and able to travel to clients across England. We do position our work as being “remote-first” and the majority is delivered in this way, but we believe face-to-face is valuable and, in some cases, essential for example if we are supporting the roll-out of a product to end users.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with at least one Tier 2 HR system e.g. PeopleXD, Hibob, Ciphr, MHR, Cascade, XCD, SagePeople etc.
