Job Title: Assistant Headteacher – Inclusion and SEND
Location: New Barn School, Newbury, RG20 8HZ
Salary: Up to £53,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

We are recruiting an Assistant Headteacher – Inclusion and SEND for New Barn School in Newbury, supporting pupils aged 6 to 19 with SEMH and other complex needs.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people with complex learning needs, understanding their impact on learning and behavior, with possible specialist knowledge in SEMH. They should be able to foster a culture of excellence and contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Headteacher in ensuring high educational standards and attainment.
- Lead on areas such as Careers, Enrichment, PSHE, and Staff Training.
- Model outstanding classroom practice and provide visible leadership.
