Research Fellow, School of Health Sciences
We wish to appoint a Research Fellow to support research into understanding and improving outcomes for children, adolescents and young adults (AYA) with cancer. We have a vibrant research programme focusing on measuring and improving quality of life for children and young people with cancer, and you will be contributing to projects within this programme.
Children and young people face a unique experience when they have cancer because of their different cancers, treatment and their developmental trajectory. More science is needed in this area.
Our research programme includes an exciting European Commission funded project, STRONG-AYA, focused on improving the lives of young people with cancer. It also includes projects embedded in the EORTC Quality of Life Group, which focuses on understanding quality of life issues for children with cancer during treatment, as well as longer‑term outcomes of survivors of childhood or AYA cancer.
