Our client has a vacancy for an Employment Solicitor. The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate their organisational skills, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure in a team environment while managing client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure maintenance of work and fee income targets
  • Report on performance
  • Liaise with clients both in person or remote meetings and in telephone discussions
  • Receiving and issuing correspondence / mail from / to the client, agents on behalf of the client and third parties
  • Time recording all work undertaken
  • Attending on outside appointments to include court hearings, client visits etc. as required
  • Areas of work to include Employment and general Advice
  • Acting on instruction of and reporting to the Head of Employment and Head of Business Services
  • Generate new work for department and firm
  • Attendance at required training courses
  • Supporting the Firm with brand awareness activities, including networking, events and content for the website and social media channels

Required Skills and Experience

  • Qualified Solicitor
  • Adherence to Quality and Work Management Systems
  • Achievement of Targets
  • Development of departmental staff
  • To maintain Lexcel accreditation including completion of file reviews and CAR's
  • Flexibility in support of other members of staff
