We are looking for a Lease Advisory Surveyor with experience of landlord and tenant work to join a team in the Bristol or Exeter office.

The Role

Working in a team carrying out a range of rent reviews, lease renewals and market rent valuations for a wide variety of properties and clients. Working in all main commercial property sectors with the opportunity to work in more specialised areas such as healthcare and leisure.

Main Duties

  • Inspect and measure a variety of commercial properties.
  • Collate information, report to and advise clients of the best strategy for rent reviews and lease renewal instructions.
  • Negotiate rent review and lease renewal instructions, either with the parties directly or their surveyor/advisor.
  • Advise clients on 3rd party or court action where appropriate.
  • Be able to act as an expert witness in 3rd party determination (training and support given).
  • Be an active member of the team, engaging with business development for the local office area and wider South West.
  • Maintain a professional network.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate would be MRICS qualified having worked in a lease advisory/consultancy role previously; however, we also welcome applications from those with commercial agency or valuation backgrounds wishing to move to a different role. Previous experience with commercial rental valuation is required.

Salary and Benefits

Salary from £35,000, commensurate with experience and skills. Excellent benefits package. Full time, Part time, and flexible working considered.
