Direct message the job poster from Barnett Waddingham We have an exciting opportunity for a Consulting Actuary to join our team in Bristol on a hybrid working basis between home and office (2-3 days pw). DB Pension experience is essential. Our services are designed to support trustees and employers by delivering pragmatic advice which brings clarity to complex issues such as investing assets, de-risking, longevity, risk management and the impact of legislative changes. A snapshot of your day: Act as the main contact for a range of clients. Provide advice to clients on how they might achieve their objectives while satisfying the requirements of relevant external parties Assist Partners in managing client relationships, identifying any problems that arise and helping resolve them as soon as possible Attend client meetings Identify ways that Barnett Waddingham can help our clients and report new initiatives. Review draft client reports and advice Proactively advise clients on relevant developments in the pension’s world Use of a variety of techniques and theoretical principles to establish probability and risk in respect of areas such as pensions Check work of other team members, ensuring accuracy and compliance with scheme rules, procedures and legislation This role may include working toward developing own portfolio of Scheme Actuary / Adviser appointments or Corporate appointments Assist in new business tenders, including participating in the pitch to the potential client Develop relationships with introducers and potential clients Identify opportunities for new business We would love to hear from you if you have: Fellowship Actuarial Qualifications FIA / FAA DB Pension experience is essential.
