A business in the education sector near Malton are currently recruiting for an Interim Finance Manager to support their team for an initial 4–6 month period. On offer is a competitive salary of £50,000 to £60,000 per annum, and the chance to work in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. This role may be done on a 3-5 day basis, and has the potential to become a permanent role, should this be desired.

As the Finance Manager, you will be:

  • Leading month-end and year-end reporting processes
  • Preparing and reviewing management accounts
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Liaising with auditors and external stakeholders
  • Streamlining financial controls and processes
  • Providing commercial insight to support decision-making
  • Managing and mentoring a small finance team

To be successful in this Finance Manager role, you will ideally have/be:

  • A qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence using financial systems
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role
  • Able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment
  • An analytical thinker with great communication skills
