Blanche Nevile School for Deaf Children, North London is highly regarded, innovative and successful provision for deaf children aged 3 – 16. The Secondary school is co-located with Fortismere School, Muswell Hill. The Primary school is co-located with Highgate Primary School.
The school is on a journey to ‘Outstanding’ following a ‘Good’ Ofsted (February 2023).

Teaching
We are looking for an excellent ICT Teacher to join our skilled team of deaf and hearing staff. Other teaching specialisms are also valued by the school and will be considered within the successful applicant’s timetable.

The Successful Candidate Will
- Have experience of teaching in the secondary phase
- Have experience of working with children with SEND
- High expectations and excellent planning and differentiation skills
- Have knowledge of British Sign Language or a commitment to work towards a minimum of BSL Level 3
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A Teacher of Deaf Children and Young People (ToD) qualification is desirable but not essential. However, the successful applicant would be supported to undergo training in due course to gain this mandatory qualification if they did not already hold it. This would be funded by the school. Additional support and training will be given as required.
