This Hybrid role (2 days in) in London will require you to be an excellent communicator with natural gravitas. Your stakeholders will cut across the organisation (including SLT) as well as external providers. You will use your experience to help shape a business that is exciting and uplifting in what they do. Working alongside enterprise architects, engineers, and business leaders, you’ll ensure that solutions are scalable, strategically aligned, and grounded in real-world delivery. You’ll also mentor Technical Leads, providing architectural guardrails while enabling autonomy and innovation across the CIO function.
The Opportunity
As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for translating functional and non-functional requirements into robust architecture designs that align with broader enterprise strategy and architectural principles. Your work will directly influence the successful implementation of systems across digital, data, and operational domains.
You’ll operate in a collaborative and forward-thinking Enterprise Architecture team that supports a wide technology stack spanning Oracle, Microsoft, Salesforce, and MuleSoft, across both cloud and on-premise platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end technology solutions that align with strategic goals and architectural standards
- Develop solution architectures that are efficient, scalable, and practical to implement
- Collaborate with Technical Leads, providing mentoring, guidance, and support to enable high-quality, independent delivery
- Create architecture artefacts, including system designs, data flows, integration models, and technical specifications
- Ensure architectural outputs support delivery across both agile and waterfall project environments
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of architecture principles, patterns, and templates
- Support the evolution and governance of architectural practices and standards
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience architecting and delivering complex IT solutions in a pragmatic, business-aligned way
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
- Background in high-volume transactional systems and modernising or replacing legacy platforms
- Experience designing for cloud-native environments and migrating workloads to the cloud
- Familiarity with Oracle, Microsoft, cloud platforms, APIs, and web services
- Knowledge of architectural practices such as layered abstraction, stakeholder mapping, and the use of modelling tools
- Experience operating within architecture governance frameworks
- Comfortable working across both agile and traditional project environments
- Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, Azure Architect, or MuleSoft Architect are highly desirable
