Purpose of the role
The Market Data Licensing & Administration team is responsible for Picoβs relationships with exchanges and trading venues. This responsibility covers the diverse market data licensing terms and conditions, and their implications for both Pico and its customers, as well as client onboarding, reporting and other administrative requirements. The role of Pico in the market data industry is maturing as the company has grown rapidly, has acquired the Redline Trading software business, as well containing a unique mix of licensing requirements for services covering both network service provider agreements and more traditional exchange redistribution agreements.
Responsibilities and duties (include but not limited to)
- Responsible for accurate, compliant and timely monthly reporting to approximately 50 global exchange groups and vendors.
- Knowledge of global exchange market data policies, in particular as it relates to the policies which apply to Pico for our reporting and billing obligations.
- Ownership of processes to standardize and simplify reporting and record keeping.
- Ownership of Axon ADP tool, collecting client honesty statements and using data in reporting processes.
- Identify and resolve areas of risk within the market data reporting process.
- Build and maintain relationships with exchanges and vendors globally.
- Contribute to process in Pico for market data audits and compliance.
- Ownership of the CPTR artifact which is a critical monthly process used by Pico finance to correctly bill variable monthly pass through fees to Pico clients.
- Ownership of the PIDs in the Pico price book for pass through market data fees.
- Ownership of the venue inventory monthly document update process.
- Contribute more broadly as a member of the venue services team, taking on miscellaneous projects in Pico as they come up and covering for venue services team members when appropriate.
Education, Skills and background (incl. Education and Experience Requirements)
- 2 years relevant experience in a market data capacity with an exchange or data vendor organization.
- Preference experience from another data vendor.
- Financial industry knowledge and understanding of global exchange market data policies.
- Experience of exchange market data costs.
- Knowledge of exchange reporting and workflows.
- Knowledge of finance processes supporting market data expense management.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
Working Arrangements
This is a Hybrid position with weekly time in the office with the flexibility of working from home. Though travel may be required from time to time, it is not expected to be regular or frequent.
