We help ambitious businesses grow their sales through strategic, creative, and technically sound marketing. From branding and websites to SEO, PPC, and email, we design solutions that drive real results, no fluff.
We’re entering a high-growth phase, and we’re looking for a detail-driven Finance Manager to join us on this journey. If you’re excited about making a real impact, growing alongside a team that values quality, and working in an environment that values ownership and accountability, this is your chance. With flexible hours and a chance to shape how our financial processes evolve, you’ll be part of building something meaningful from the ground up.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Reporting directly to the Founder and our Business Strategist, you’ll become the financial backbone of BAW Creative.
- You’ll work alongside our core team, coding and reconciling transactions, managing costs by service line, and ensuring every penny is accounted for in Xero.
- Your day-to-day will include:
- Coding and reconciling transactions, ensuring income and expenses are categorised correctly and split by service line.
- Service-level cost tracking, helping us understand profitability by ensuring costs are assigned to the right revenue streams.
- Bank reconciliations, weekly checks to keep our financial data complete and accurate.
- Accounts payable and receivable, recording supplier invoices, payments, and customer receipts.
- Supporting financial reporting, assisting with monthly P&L, cash flow, and expenses reporting for management.
- Expense management, monitoring, coding, and documenting business expenses.
- Supporting our transition to Xero, helping set up coding rules and automations.
This role is crucial to our growth. You’ll lay the financial groundwork that supports smart, strategic decisions as we scale. As we grow, so will you. This position could develop into a finance support role or even a finance manager position, with more involvement in forecasting, budgeting, and process improvement.
Hard Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within a small business environment.
- AAT Level 2 or above (or equivalent) preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Comfortable using Xero (preferred) or QuickBooks, with experience in coding transactions, reconciliations, and producing reports.
- Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and organisation.
- Clear communicator, confident liaising with colleagues and external advisors.
- Proactive, with a mindset to own tasks and improve processes.
Preferred
- Experience working in an agency environment.
- Knowledge of VAT and/or payroll support.
- Local candidates preferred, as this is an office-based role.
- Problem-solving and time management skills.
If you’re looking for a place where your work matters and where you can grow with a supportive, creative team, then this might be your next step. At BAW Creative, we don’t cut corners. We invest in quality, clarity, and progress, with a team that genuinely enjoys what they do. We want you to be part of our success story.
Our team is collaborative, focused, and dedicated to delivering results for our clients. We enjoy working together, sharing ideas, and supporting each other’s growth. If you’re excited to help shape the financial backbone of an agency that’s scaling fast, we’d love to hear from you.
Oh, and we have a great mascot, Vinny the office dog.
