We’re looking for a Global Content Planning Manager, 12 month FTC to collaborate with Condé Nast Traveller’s Global Editorial Leadership team. This global role sits in content operations and reports directly to the Senior Director of content planning, sharing and adaptation. You’ll manage the global editorial content calendar and ensure all teams work together to develop creative ideas around key universal themes and cultural moments that resonate with the brand.
What will you be doing?
- Lead monthly global line-up meetings across markets and functions.
- Lead editorial pillars: Create schedules and enforce timelines across functions and markets.
- Proactively lead content visibility: Ensure all markets upload their editorial line ups on our Content Planning base and help clear global rights.
- Optimise content planning and sharing: By introducing and continuously reviewing optimised workflows, facilitating cross functional/market meetings and sharing syndication reports and assets to encourage collaboration.
- Review Global Story Pitches: With the Global Features Director, evaluate the global lineup of story pitches.
- Oversee Content Production: Manage the production of editorial content for brand planning across all platforms (print, digital, video, social) and markets.
- Maintain Editorial Communication: Ensure all editorial teams remain updated on the content pipeline from ideation through production.
- Project management: Manage content outputs from a global team including editors, writers, content creators, photographers, translators and strategists.
- Local Support: Assist in developing and supporting local content packages.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across departments to leverage global resources for brand initiatives, including planning tools, dashboard etc.
- Global Content Sharing: Advocate for content sharing best practices and streamline workflows to facilitate efficient global content distribution.
- Global Ambassador: Foster a positive environment that respects diverse cultures, encourages collaboration and knowledge/feedback exchange among teams, and helps shape global content standards.
- Data Strategist: Interpret and communicate relevant data insights to appropriate stakeholders, leveraging this information to optimise content performance across markets and refine global content approaches.
About you
- A proven track record of successfully partnering with editorial teams across all platforms at a deputy or senior level in an editorial environment is essential.
- Experience working for a global company or at an international level, with a proven ability to build relationships remotely across cultures and time zones.
- Experience implementing/facilitating new workflow tools globally would be an advantage.
- A strong editorial instinct and deep understanding of the brand’s successes and future direction.
- Ability to analyse data informed reports to shape strategy and expand audience reach across platforms.
- Excellent communication skills and natural team leader.
- Highly organised and confident in establishing and maintaining new workflows that can be easily adopted by international teams.
- Confident using technical systems for workflow management, with a strong passion for optimising processes and translating data analytics into effective operational outputs.
- An understanding of SEO principles and their application in digital copy, along with proficiency in navigating and using a CMS.
- Experience using editorial programmes such as InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and AirTable.
- A basic understanding of translation management is a plus but not required.
