Reymas Group is working in partnership with a respected specialist Roofing & Envelope Contractor to recruit a Quality Assurance / Technical Manager. This role is key to ensuring operational consistency, regulatory compliance, and effective application of the Business Management System (BMS) across all projects. You’ll be central to refining QA processes and supporting project teams in delivering consistent, high-quality outcomes.
Location: Hybrid – London (Office-based with regular site visits)
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Manage and maintain QA procedures across all roofing and envelope projects, ensuring documentation is kept up to date and in line with company standards.
- Conduct regular audits and site inspections to improve quality practices and identify non-conformance.
- Confirm that site activities meet the Employer’s Requirements, technical specifications, and design drawings.
- Create, review, and implement project-specific Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) aligned with manufacturer standards and construction best practices.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 19650, and support BIM-related QA processes where applicable.
- Coordinate with site teams and contractors to resolve QA and ITP issues and ensure integration with RAMS and principal contractor systems.
- Distribute and manage QA/ITP documentation and ensure retention aligns with project-specific file structures.
- Monitor on-site workmanship, helping reduce defects and drive continual improvement.
- Lead post-project reviews to extract lessons learned and improve future processes.
- Identify training needs and support skill development across the technical and site teams.
- Contribute to the business’s sustainability and environmental goals, including accreditation schemes and supply chain compliance.
- Report regularly to the board on QA performance and key metrics.
- Support H&S colleagues in preparation for audits and compliance reviews.
What We’re Looking For:
- Essential:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a roofing or façade contracting environment.
- Background in leading or managing QA processes in a construction setting.
- Strong working knowledge of construction QA systems, compliance standards, and roofing systems.
- Solid understanding of UK building regulations and industry standards.
- Confident communicator with strong leadership and organisational abilities.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and document management software.
- Desirable:
- HNC, HND, or Degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field.
- CSCS Manager Card, SMSTS, First Aid.
- BIM QA experience is an advantage.
