Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG) is one of the very best colleges in the country. The successful applicant will be based at the new £25m Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Institute of Technology in Stafford with excellent facilities for students and staff. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and suitably qualified individual with excellent communication and organisational skills.
Duties are varied and include:
- Providing comprehensive administrative support to staff throughout the department
- Reception duties
- Managing bookings
- Assisting with queries and dealing with correspondence
As the main contact point for enquiries, you will liaise with students, parents, staff and employers. This role would be ideal for you if you are a customer-focused individual with a strong interest and experience in the educational environment.
In addition to a good standard of general education, you should have a relevant business admin qualification along with previous experience of working in a varied and busy administrative and/or secretarial role. You will have a confident manner with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, excellent MS Office Skills (Word, Excel and Access) and will be able to work efficiently to tight deadlines.
Hours of work are usually office hours Monday to Friday, but occasional attendance at open evenings and parents evenings will be required.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Good standard of education qualified to level 3 or equivalent and be willing to undertake any relevant professional development
- Previous experience of working in a varied administrative and secretarial role with outstanding organisational skills
- Confident manner and able to communicate effectively at all levels showing professionalism to visitors and guests
