Archetype (London) have launched an exciting new Editorial Internship to run through the summer! It has been purposefully created to attract all budding writers with a keen interest in football and looking to break into the sports media industry.
The Archetype Editorial Internship Programme is a part-time 4-week paid program designed to help you become more knowledgeable in sports media. Whether you have just left college, currently studying, or simply looking to kick-start your career - we would love to hear from you.
The programme will cover practical skills, personal development, constructive feedback, and industry insights from your mentors and trainers. You will experience new tools, platforms, industry knowledge, client exposure, social experiences, and hands-on meaningful work assignments whilst developing a deeper understanding in storytelling.
Examples of some of the practical Editorial tasks you will be doing:
- SEO for sports
- A/B headlines
- Tone of voice
- Data-led storytelling
- Interpreting stats
- #CMS basics
- Match Notes cards
- TikTok scripting
- Shadowing people from the Content team to observe what they do and what tools they use
At the heart of this internship lies our mission to increase access, opportunity, diversity, and experience for all emerging talent interested in sports media.
Minimum requirements:
- 18 years or over
- Right to work and live in the UK
- Ability to come into the London office 3x days per week (Tues, Weds & Thurs)
Key information about the program:
- Duration: 4 weeks
- Schedule: 3x days per week (Tues, Weds, Thurs)
- Location: On-site (60 Great Portland Street, Oxford Circus)
- Hours: 10am - 5pm
- Months available: July, August or September
- This is an internal program only (no certifications)
