The Purpose of the Role: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner for International, this role offers the chance to provide financial reporting, analysis, and support to the International division, focusing on Opex run costs, Capex investment, and financial modelling and forecasting. You will collaborate closely with International and Finance colleagues to ensure robust accounting practices, deliver monthly international leadership packs, and work with the wider finance team to complete month-end accounts. Additionally, you will have the chance to develop commercial capabilities by partnering with non-finance stakeholders, driving insightful reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery of month end close process including posting journals, P&L review, Capex review, and managing accruals & prepayments
- Preparation and consolidation of weekly International Trade Review packs.
- Support in timely and accurate delivery of monthly packs for International Lead Team.
- Monthly creation and presentation of Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Support in timely and accurate delivery of insightful reporting linked to sales and cost variances vs latest forecast.
- Work closely with non-financial stakeholders to help model financial benefit of Global New Product Development.
Location: This role is based in Nuneaton, and may be occasionally required to travel to other locations of H&B. We support flexibility and productivity of our employees by hybrid working arrangements with minimum 2 days presence in the office.
Key Requirements:
- Prior experience in analyst/management accountant roles, preferably gained in a commercial environment.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide reporting insight and key decision support across the function.
- Strong Excel modelling skills.
- A laser focus on attention to detail, the ability to translate finance for non-finance colleagues, and an appetite for driving and facilitating positive change.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build and maintain credible relationships with key stakeholders at various levels in the business.
Nice to have: Accountancy qualification currently studying (CIMA / ACA / ACCA) or newly qualified.
