We are thrilled to offer an exciting permanent opportunity for a Marine Resources Team Lead to join our maritime client based in Glasgow. As Marine Resources Team Lead, you will deliver high quality, customer-focused recruitment, supporting the offshore team and wider business to deliver against its objectives.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

  • Extensive experience within recruitment/crewing or other relevant experience such as offshore work.
  • Understanding of MLC, STCW, HSE, OPITO & GWO Certification.
  • Experience of managing a team.
  • Extensive understanding and experience of MS packages including Teams.
  • Awareness of recruitment tools and processes.
  • Extensive experience presenting data and industry updates to a diverse audience globally.
  • Proficient in all MS office packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience and understanding of the offshore catering industry - Preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring that external providers operate in accordance with their contractual provisions.
  • Stay up to date with relevant employment legislation and advise Managers accordingly of any changes that could affect the recruitment process.
  • Oversee the effective administration of the recruitment process, including general administrative duties.
  • Supervise the offshore recruitment team and overall accountability for offshore recruitment deliverables with responsibility for the appraisal process and general management of the internal team on a day-to-day basis.
  • Responsible for recruitment forecasting to ensure all future needs are met.
  • Continuously review and develop recruitment processes and procedures.
  • Function as a point of escalation for external and internal individuals when required.
  • Undertake shortlisting, selection and interview of candidates and communicating appropriate feedback.
  • Identify and source suitable recruitment channels to minimise costs for the business.
  • Ensure that the business is operating within the recruitment budget.
  • Managing recruitment advertisements through all appropriate channels.
  • Collaborating closely with Crewing team and Recruitment Managers to identify position requirements within the fleet.
  • Collaborate directly with nominated clients to meet their recruitment requirements, including involvement during the tender stage to ensure a full understanding of certification and crewing requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure their protocols and procedures are always followed.
  • Responsible for agreeing salary scales with clients, benchmarking, and annual reviews.
