Our client is a Tier 1 contractor with a stellar reputation for delivering complex, high-value projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Document Controller to join their dynamic team in Nottingham.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Document Controller to play a crucial role in managing project documentation from start to finish. We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience or an understanding of security information management, as this will be a valuable asset in handling sensitive project data. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth flow of information, maintaining accurate records, and supporting project teams to meet demanding deadlines.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and control all project-related documentation, both electronic and hard copy.
- Implement and maintain document control procedures and systems to ensure accuracy, quality, and accessibility.
- Distribute documents to relevant stakeholders efficiently and on time.
- Ensure all documents comply with project standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Track and monitor document revisions, approvals, and transmittals.
- Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date document register.
- Support project teams with document retrieval and information requests.
- Assist in the preparation and collation of project reports and handover documentation.
- Experience with, or a strong understanding of, security information management principles and practices, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive project data.
- Conduct regular audits of document control systems to identify and implement improvements.
- Proven experience as a Document Controller, ideally within a Tier 1 contractor or a similar large-scale construction/engineering environment.
- Demonstrable experience with document management systems, especially Viewpoint.
- Exceptional organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising effectively with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
