Framework are looking to recruit a Voids Officer to take responsibility for void properties within the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire areas, working alongside other voids officers as part of the team to ensure all properties are inspected and then prepared for re-let, within designated timescales and to our agreed lettable standard.

The successful candidate needs to be able to liaise and maintain positive relationships with peers, colleagues and contractors. You will be required to maintain a void tracking system to monitor progress and ensure that delays are minimised and value for money is maximised. You will effectively arrange, specify, coordinate and post inspect works ensuring that any issues are dealt with professionally and effectively.

You will have experience of working within a void, repairs or property services role and be prepared to lone work visiting voids within dispersed shared housing. The successful candidate will need some experience of line management alongside being able to demonstrate the following:

  • Knowledge and experience of working within a Voids repairs, maintenance or Property Services Team
  • Experience of liaising with contractors
  • Experience of carrying out property inspections/inspecting works
  • Some experience of working with vulnerable people and an awareness of some of the issues homeless people face
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team

The post holder will be required to plan and organise their own work and be able to work both independently and as part of a wider team. For this role, the successful candidate must hold a full driving licence. There will also be a van available linked to this role but this is specifically for work purposes only.
