An opportunity has opened for a dedicated, self-motivated and experienced Sample Coordinator and Merchandiser to join a small production team in northwest London. The role consists mainly of production-related tasks, but it will be important for you to have an overview of the whole business, maintaining an awareness of what is going on in each area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sample development and coordination:
    • Preparing sample dockets
    • Liaising with fabric mills
    • Liaising with factories, ensuring the samples come back first time right
    • Cataloguing and tracking all samples
  • Merchandising:
    • Taking detailed notes during meetings with buyers and creating a meeting pack
    • B2B communication with buyers for on-time delivery of prices, POS and any other matters regarding their packs
    • Calculating garment costings based on mark-ups or defined profits
    • Managing critical path and updating production files with customer orders, organising the production calendar together with the Production Coordinator
  • Production:
    • Sourcing and ordering trims and fabric
    • Managing the brand's fabric and trim libraries
    • Being involved in meetings with the managing director
    • Invoice management for sample fabrics and trims
    • Creating Bill of Materials for production dockets, ensuring all trims are put together in an organised way
    • Prepare delivery paperwork for customers as required, organising couriers and managing shipments
    • Liaising with the Italian factory regarding the production and logistics of hats
    • Managing and tidying the warehouse/stock
    • Editing the website, adding products and sending out promotional emails
    • Help sending orders out to customers and processing returns
    • General office administration

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a fashion company
  • Able to work well in a high-pressure environment and react to last-minute priority changes
  • Highly organised, adaptable and able to multitask and prioritise
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • A team player
  • Computer literate (strong Microsoft Excel and Adobe Photoshop)
  • Flexible and willing to help out as and where needed

Advantageous:

  • Proficiency in Shopify and Mailchimp
