Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out checks on individual project evaluations and highlighting key risks or concerns for discussion with the delivery teams.
  • Overseeing the appraisal of project timelines to ensure they are clear, realistic, and aligned with wider programme planning standards.
  • Taking the lead in developing integrated baseline schedules to enable successful programme delivery in line with agreed planning approaches.
  • Reviewing cost-to-complete estimates at the project level, including scrutiny of atypical forecasts, to inform overall cost projections.
  • Managing schedule risk assessments across relevant projects and ensuring risks and opportunities are properly addressed.
  • Contributing to new business activity by supporting bid teams and embedding sound project management fundamentals from the outset.

What are we looking for?

  • Background in both detailed scheduling and high-level milestone planning.
  • Skilled in setting up and maintaining structured project breakdowns, including work, cost, and organisational hierarchies.
  • Proficient in compiling and interpreting performance metrics across timeframes, resourcing, and budgeting.
  • Capable of conducting and evaluating schedule risk assessments, critical path reviews, and earned value analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on identifying root causes and proposing effective solutions.
  • Practical experience using various project management platforms (e.g. SAP, Primavera, ARM, Oracle Unifier).
  • Understanding of baseline planning and formal change management procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring high standards in the accuracy and consistency of project control reporting.

  • Understanding and involvement in Project Estimate at Completion/Forecast Cost at Completion reviews.
  • What-If Analysis (Risk & Opportunity).
  • Understanding of resource loaded schedules.
