I have an impressive opportunity for a Senior Metrology Engineer to join an established development business who provides software and inspection solutions to an assortment of industries, including Aerospace, Automotive, Medical and Power Generation Industries. This is an exciting time to join the business, and these opportunities are newly created roles to support them with their growth plans for 2025/2026. You will be working with a smaller friendly team where they all work together and discuss solutions and ideas as a team. You will be a very important cog to the wheel and your opinion counts. They are offering an impressive salary package circa to £45k+ with flexible working options and much more.
Key responsibilities of the Metrology Engineer:
- Optimise and develop measurement processes, enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Manage and perform precision measurements and analysis of components and assembly products
- Designing measurement systems tailored to specific project needs
- Analysing data using 3D Inspection Software
- Work collaboratively as a team on projects in the Aerospace, Power and Medical Industry
- Contribute to product development processes including prototyping work, design and production
- Assist in Root Cause Investigations by developing corrective/preventative actions
- Working to industry standard accreditations (AS9100, ISO 13485, IATF 16949)
- Liaising with customers and suppliers to maintain quality and technical integrity
Requirements of the Metrology Engineer:
- Experienced Metrology Engineer in the Aerospace, Automotive, Medical Industries
- Highly experienced in Optical and CMM systems, preferably GOM, Zeiss, PolyWorks or MCOSMOS
- Excellent problem-solving skills working in multiple projects
- Experience working with regulatory requirements (AS9100, ISO 13485, ITAF 16949) preferred
- Excellent Communication Skills
In return the Senior Metrology Engineer will receive an attractive salary and benefits package which includes a salary banding circa to £40k to £45k, although there is some scope on this for the right candidate. They also offer flexi time, where you can start or finish later to suit needs. They also have 25 days holiday + bank holidays, Pension Scheme, supportive in future development and training, working in an impressive building with free parking on site.
