We are working on behalf of a leading MEP contractor renowned for delivering complex building services packages on major UK construction projects. Due to continued growth and project wins, they are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Manager to join their team on a permanent basis, based in Oxford.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to join a business that partners with Tier 1 main contractors such as Ardmore, Ballymore, Balfour Beatty, and others on flagship residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.

Role Overview: As Electrical Manager, you will oversee the full electrical installation on-site, ensuring works are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and programme. You will be responsible for managing subcontractors, coordinating with internal teams and clients, and driving the electrical works from inception through to commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day site activities relating to the electrical package
  • Liaise with project managers, design teams, and client representatives
  • Ensure all electrical works are delivered in line with programme, budget, and quality standards
  • Oversee subcontractor performance, health & safety compliance, and toolbox talks
  • Coordinate with mechanical and other disciplines to ensure seamless delivery
  • Attend progress meetings and provide technical input as required
  • Assist with procurement and material scheduling as necessary
  • Ensure commissioning activities are planned and executed efficiently

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar Electrical Manager / Site Manager role
  • Strong background in building services (MEP), ideally with a Tier 1 or large subcontractor
  • Previous experience on large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects
  • SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and relevant electrical qualifications
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and drive high-performance teams
  • Based within commutable distance of Oxford or willing to travel
