Estimator / Project Manager to a small, busy and personable team, this position is paying an annual salary of £50,000 - £70,000. Working hours are Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 5.00pm. This combined role offers a unique opportunity to contribute at every stage of the construction projects, from cost estimation to financial management.

Duties:

  • Developing detailed cost estimates for a variety of construction projects
  • Working closely with project teams to gather necessary project information
  • Preparing and submitting tender proposals with accuracy and efficiency
  • Managing project budgets, cost control, and financial oversight & monthly valuations
  • Conducting surveys, cost analyses, and ongoing financial reviews
  • Engaging with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive quotes
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards, best practices, and regulations

Experience required:

  • Estimating various residential projects ranging from £500k to £2.5M
  • Proven 3-5 years' experience as an Estimator and/or Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Excel)
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
  • Knowledge of take-off software such as Blue Beam-REVU or similar is essential.
