Salary: £26 – £33 per hour

GSL Education are looking to appoint a compassionate and experienced Primary Tutor to support a Year 1 pupil who has been out of formal education since November. The ideal tutor should be able to provide tailored support to build engagement, emotional regulation, and communication skills whilst implementing the national curriculum.

As the ideal Tutor, you will:

  • Be a qualified Primary Teacher or have recent experience tutoring Primary aged students with additional needs.
  • Have strong SEN experience, particularly with autism and ADHD.
  • Be confident in supporting children with speech and language difficulties.
  • Use visual supports and adaptive teaching strategies.
  • Be patient, nurturing, and flexible, with the ability to build rapport and trust over time.

Additional Information:

Sessions will take place at a local community centre in Wilberfoss. The child’s parent will attend initially to support the settling-in process. This is a long-term opportunity with potential to increase hours per week, as progress is made.
