Are you a multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias looking to join a forward-thinking company delivering cutting-edge perimeter security solutions across the UK? We’re working on behalf of a leading UK-based security systems provider, who is seeking a Perimeter Security Engineer to join their expanding team. You’ll be working across high-profile and secure sites nationwide, installing and maintaining physical security systems including gates, barriers, road blockers, bollards, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Nationwide installation, servicing, and maintenance of perimeter security equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults.
- Work with PLCs, control panels, and circuitry.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule after 3 months (1 week in every 5 or 6).
- Maintain accurate service records and complete reports using company-provided tech.
- Ensure high standards of health & safety and customer service on-site.
What We’re Looking For:
- Time-served apprenticeship (electrical/mechanical) desirable.
- Multi-skilled engineer with a strong electrical foundation.
- Experience in industrial security systems preferred, but not essential – backgrounds in maintenance or manufacturing welcome.
- Comfortable with nationwide travel and overnight stays.
- IT literate with the ability to use laptops, tablets, and smartphones for reporting.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Eligible for SC security clearance due to work on government and CPNI sites.
What’s On Offer:
- Salary: £36,400 (£17.50/hour), based on a 40-hour week.
- Paid door-to-door.
- Hours: 08:00–16:30 (available for work 06:00–18:00).
- Overtime: On-call allowance (£100/week) + £50 per call-out.
- Company van, laptop, iPad, mobile phone, uniform, PPE, and specialist tools provided.
- 23 days’ holiday + bank holidays.
