Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing nationwide piling contractor. Due to ongoing growth, they are looking to expand their team by adding an Estimator with experience in construction, piling, or groundworks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project inquiries, preparing cost estimates, collaborating with clients and engineers, conducting site visits, sourcing materials, and supporting project delivery while maintaining strong client relationships.

What's in it for you?

  • Monday - Friday, 8:30-4:30 (can be flexible).
  • The role is office-based, but you can work from home when needed, including before or after traveling to sites for added convenience depending on timings.
  • £40,000 - £50,000.
  • Car allowance or vehicle can be discussed.
  • 36 days annual leave, including all public holidays and company closure over Christmas and new year.
  • Pension.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project inquiries from clients, interpret drawings, and prepare detailed cost estimates while ensuring projects are accurately scoped and priced.
  • Work closely with clients, engineers, and designers to clarify specifications, generate quotes, and maintain ongoing communication to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate requirements and identify cost-saving opportunities, while sourcing materials at competitive prices without compromising quality.
  • Assist with material ordering and delivery coordination, and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle to ensure needs are met and expectations are exceeded.

Role Requirements

  • UK driving license and access to your own vehicle for commuting to project sites.
  • A solid background in construction, with experience in estimating or similar roles.
  • A strong desire to learn, grow, and take on greater responsibility as part of the team's future leadership.
