About the Role

At our Ely site we are currently recruiting for a professional receptionist to provide a comprehensive reception service for all visitors and staff. The successful candidate must be reliable, take pride in their work and as first point of contact for visitors be a confident and welcoming member of the team.

This is a corporate front of house receptionist role and as such , suitable experience is required. Working closely with other team members we will expect a high level of initiative. Motivation and cooperation couple with a positive ‘can do’ approach to the work.

This role is based on site and the working hours are Monday to Friday, 8-430pm.

The main duties of the role will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Answering all incoming calls re-directing or assisting callers as appropriate
  • Welcoming all visitors and ensuring their presence on-site is recorded accurately, in line with health and safety requirements, and that they are given appropriate attention and assistance
  • Sorting incoming mail and processing outgoing mail
  • Mailbox management and co-ordinating the booking of on-site meeting rooms, finding solutions at times of high demand; assisting with the setting up and clearing of rooms
  • Ordering consumables for the site – kitchen/ stationary/ uniform
  • Fire Warden and First Aider
  • Ensuring the Reception and kitchen area is always kept clean and tidy
  • Management of PPE for visitors and new starters
  • Issue and track door access fobs to employees
  • Update site internal communication boards
  • Processing and updating internal recognition forms and ordering of vouchers

  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Confident and experienced with telephone systems and diary management
  • Excellent personal presentation and clear diction
  • A calm manner and the ability to think and react quickly when under pressure
