As a flexible Bank Support Worker joining the existing established team, your will be supporting 2 gentlemen with their daily routines. They both live with different health conditions but have similar needs.
The gents we support live in a terraced property with shared and separate areas. This is located on the South side of Glasgow in the Castlemilk area. It is attached next door to another service we also provide. There are a few services in this area so there is a lot of interaction and things going on. It has a large garden and the gents enjoy spending time there in nice weather and would like to develop and do work on it this year to realise it’s full potential. There is ample parking including a driveway and are friendly with their neighbours.
The service is close to local amenities and activities. The gents are supported with their activities and interests such as walking every day, trips to local places and the seaside in the car and arts and crafts including a weekly art class and Marvel comics etc
It is important for them to be supported by friendly staff who like a chat.
The team here tend to work longer shifts which are 9am-7pm or 9am-9am with a sleepover.
Specific training includes mental health and anxiety awareness. Due to the service needs some previous experience within social care is required.
