About the nursery practitioner role:

Our nursery practitioners work across the nursery with babies, toddlers and pre-school age from 3 months old up to 5 years. The nursery practitioners’ primary duties include providing children with a safe environment to learn, helping them develop basic social and behavioural skills and engaging them in age-appropriate play activities.

About the nursery:

This nursery holds up to 42 children with 15 childcare staff. Based in CR0 area.

Requirements of the nursery practitioner role:

  • Support the nursery to grow and perform at a high standard, whilst ensuring that all legislation and EYFS frameworks are adhered to.
  • Create inspirational, creative, and effective learning environments in line with the needs of the children and the nursery.
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of children through a confident knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures.
  • Implement the EYFS with a good understanding of child development.
  • Report any issues of concern to a senior team member or relevant services.
  • Work in partnership with parents and our partners to ensure our children thrive.
  • Show a positive attitude with children, parents, colleagues and visitors to maintain our happy nursery.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum level 3 qualified nursery practitioner
  • A candidate that is keen to work in a nursery setting as a nursery practitioner.
  • Have a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures.
