Principal/Senior/Consultant Military Tactical Data Links (T&E / Data Analysis / Business Development) Location: Preston / Haydock / Egremont / Westlakes / Hybrid / Remote Attendance: Hybrid (1 day a week Whilst the role is mainly remote there is a requirement to drive to Delkia worksites or client facilities. Overview of the role: We are seeking a seasoned Consultant with deep expertise in military tactical datalinks (TDLs) to support both technical execution and strategic business development. This role requires a strong foundation in test and evaluation (T&E) TDL data analysis and the ability to engage with clients to develop and grow opportunities in the defence communications space. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert (SME) on TDLs (including Link 16 Link 11 Link 22 VMF JREAP and future/emerging Links) supporting the full lifecycle of operational and technical initiativesfrom analysis and validation through to client engagement and solution development. What youll be responsible for: Technical Execution & Data Analysis: Develop test plans verification procedures execute and evaluate test events for tactical datalink systems across lab simulation and live environments. Analyse performance data from TDL systems to assess interoperability latency throughput and Lead or support rootcause analysis performance optimization and reporting of findings to stakeholders. Tactical Data Link Consulting: Serve as a trusted advisor on military communications architectures standards (e.g. ATDLP516 (STANAG 5516) etc) and operational deployment of those architectures. Advise on system design and procurement to enhance C4ISR capabilities. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities with MoD clients and industry partners. Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decisionmakers in the defence communications realm. What youll bring: 8 years of relevant recent experience with TDL systems in a military government or defence contractor setting. Handson experience in test and evaluation environments using protocols such as DIS SIMPLE and JREAP including data instrumentation and analysis tools. Good working knowledge from an operational and/or an engineering perspective of NATO TDL standards in particular J and Fseries message standards and systems such as MIDS and other Tactical communication systems. Demonstrated ability to support or lead business development activities (e.g. proposals capture management). Strong written and verbal communication skills including briefing senior defence stakeholders. Active security clearance or ability to obtain one. Nice to have Prior military experience or support to C4ISR TDL or ICO organizations. Experience with simulation environments (e.g. C4I/tactical simulators). Familiarity with data analysis tools (Excel MANDRIL etc) or test data environments. Familiarity of US Military TDL Standards (e.g. MilStdetc) The Person: Team player Willing to travel occasionally at short notice.
