Purpose of the role

To play a key role within the manufacture of our sustainable fabrics. The role of a Multi-skilled Operative is crucial for ensuring that our fabric pieces are accurately and efficiently prepared for assembly, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to the overall beauty of our products.

The day to day

• Adhere to the Camira Code of Conduct and comply with all relevant quality, environmental, health & safety, data protection, and corporate legislative requirements.
• Operate grey-room machines, tumbler, bagging and dry cleaner.
• Ensure weft is kept straight whilst packaging the cloth for the next machine.
• Pushing carts from one area of the factory to another.
• Ensure stacking and storage keeps walkways and access points clear.
• Follow procedures on worksheets for different fabric qualities.
• Assist in general preparation duties in the factory (multiskilling).
• Keep the machines in a clean and safe condition.
• Report any faults or inconsistencies to management.
