The Role:
As Hire Desk Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the hire desk, managing a small team and ensuring high levels of service and efficiency across all functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the hire desk team, ensuring outstanding customer service is delivered at all times
- Handle incoming enquiries, process hire orders, and oversee contract management
- Liaise with operations and transport teams to coordinate deliveries and collections
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal departments
- Monitor stock availability and equipment utilisation, ensuring accurate system updates
- Resolve customer issues and complaints efficiently and professionally
- Track KPIs and support performance management within the team
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Hire Desk, Hire Controller, or similar role within the hire or construction industry
- Proven leadership and team management abilities
